- Strength training based
- Non-sweaty team building exercises with times for discussion
- Walking meetings, treadmill talk, gentle core exercises
- Other (a fusion of your choosing)
Benefits of Your Team Training Together:
- Builds bonds
- Encourages creative thinking
- You have a chance to get away from they normal office environment, without leaving the office
- Burn calories together
- Your team will get to know each other on a more personal level
- It will encourage team members to be and stay active as a lifestyle
Our own HR department kicked off this offering! They understand taking teamwork to the next level. Exploring different elements of how to work as a team is a fantastic way to increase formation. Teamwork does indeed make the dream-work.
“I love the concept of training with the team. It pushes me to know that everyone is in it together. The HR team also checks in about diet and food choices. We hold each other accountable and it really helps me in being healthier. I’m grateful for working out with my team.”
Drew Simmons (JH-ATL)
"I love that the Coliseum offers this service. It gives my department time to bond, get active, and have fun in the process! I look forward to getting to know my team better on a personal level each week, and no better way to do that than being healthy together. Now we motivate each other at work and in the gym!"
Amber Destefani (JH-ATL)

3. Service of the Week: Spray Tan
- What is it? Spray tanning is a form of self tanning (or sunless tanning) where a fine mist is sprayed onto your body. This mist has an ingredient in it called Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) that interacts with your own skin’s chemistry to turn it tan, or bronze. This temporary effect generally lasts from 5-8 days and is completely safe for your skin. The results you can get from tanning sprays are generally very good.
- Where is it done? In the Coliseum, spa room #2. The Coliseum team is happy to direct you.
- Who performs the service? Our own personal trainer and instructor, Dawn Hafif. Dawn has over a decade experience and provides fantastic customer service. She uses the same product, Norvell, that is used by the cast members of Dancing with the Stars. Yes, it does help you dance better :).
- How much does it cost and how long does it take? $25 per tan, $35 for double coat, and typically takes 15 minutes. To schedule,15 please email the Coliseum or email Dawn directly @ sunrisesunless@gmail.com.
4. Workshop Follow Up: Nutrition Notes
Lori Woodward, registered dietitian, gave us several nuggets to chew on. Here are a few:
- Eat at least 4 servings of green leafy & high fiber veggies per day
- Eat your full meals only when they stomach is growling
- Go no more than 3 hours between meals/snacks
- Eat with family or friends at the table
- Take your body weight, cut that number in half, and that is how many ounces of water you should drink per day
- Close the kitchen after 7pm
- Macronutrients 101 - see attachments
Also attached is a spring cleaning shopping list. Keep on the look out for more know diet workshops!
5. Group Fitness Class of the Week: How Do I Use This Stuff?
You are not alone, we can help! We understand many people have questions and would appreciate some guidance in the gym. Each week we set aside 30 minutes for any member to stop in and ask questions about our equipment and accessories, learn correct positioning, form, weight, reps, and how best to use them toward your personal goals.
Join Kellye Monday's at 12:30 to learn how to use this stuff!
