Spring Into New Life
At King's Gate, this time of year finds us straddling two different seasons. We're lasar focused on all the activities of the next few months as we wind down our school year. At the same time, we're all-consumed with preparations for the next school year - meeting new prospective families, scheduling tours, planning new schedules, and hiring new staff. We're living in the now and the not yet.
As Believers, isn't that how we live, in the now and not yet? We live in the now going about our daily tasks and ministering to one another. We also live in the not yet when we pray for the lost and long for our forever home. The now sometimes feels like the dead of winter when compared to the not yet. And yet, GOD is all His goodness gives us glimpses of the glory of the not yet when we see hearts turned to Him in the now.
We're seeing hearts turning to Jesus at King's Gate. Our students are asking deep questions. While we're tired from the activities of the now, we're energized with the Hope of Jesus in our students' lives. We're praying their hunger and thirst for Him grows as they arise out of the dead of their winter and enter into the new life of spring.
GOD has shown time and again in the Bible that He uses young people to further His Kingdom. We're praying He uses our students in that great work even now. May it be so, Jesus. Amen!

ROAR Week May 1-5; Envelopes Due March 10
ROAR Week includes class service projects and our traditional Amazing gRace run. This is one of our two annual major fundraisers. While it requires much less work than the Gala, we need full participation in order to reach our $60,000 fundraising goal.
ROAR Week/Amazing gRace packets went home with students on Wednesday. All the information you need is found on the cover letter. Here are basic reminders:
- 12 addressed, unsealed envelopes (per family) are due next Friday, March 10
- Sponsorships (for student names or business logo on the back of our t-shirt) due Wed., April 12
Did you know that if all 178 families from both The Village and Surrey Hills campuses returned 12 envelopes we would send 2,136 letters to potential donors? And if every potential donor responded with a $30 donation, we'd meet our goal? Do you know 12 people who would support your student(s) for $30?
Did you know that students whose families turn in 12 envelopes get free Chic-fil-A lunch on Wed. March 22?
Did you know that when we meet our goal, we celebrate big with our students? Details about that celebration to be released at a later date.
Let's work together to meet our goal! Please pray with us. We know that GOD has big plans for King's Gate and He provides for His plans. How is He using each of us to accomplish those plans?
ACSI International Day of Prayer
We joined schools from all over the world to pray together during the ACSI International Day of Prayer on Tues., Feb. 28. In an effort to be intentional about prayer, we started our day together as a whole school to pray. We talked about what prayer is and how we can always talk to GOD, no matter what time it is or how we're feeling. Even our smallest toddlers sang a song of prayer thanking Him for our many blessings. Our big kids (Preschool, PreK and Kindergarten) talked about how they could be a light for Jesus and participated in a prayer walk later that day. They visited prayer stations all over the building:
- Adoration Station upstairs - Students praised GOD for who He is and prayed for Village Baptist Church students and leaders.
- Confession Station downstairs - Students silently confessed to GOD and placed a blank sticky note (to represent their repentance) on the cross. They prayed for VBC children and leaders as well as King's Gate students, families and teachers.
- Thanksgiving Station in long hallway - Students wrote their thanksgivings on sticky notes and posted them to the wall. They also prayed for the adults at VBC.
- Supplication Station in the church lobby - Students wrote their prayer requests and posted them to the wall. They also prayed for the VBC staff.
It was such a sweet time together of learning how to be more intentional when we pray. We're seeing GOD break through the hearts of young people all over the country right now and we see Him doing the same here. We believe GOD is stirring our students' hearts for Him. Would you please join us in prayer that He would draw them into deeper intimacy with Him? May He fan a flame of desire in all of them and may it spread throughout King's Gate and beyond.

Thursday Helping Hands
Meet Our Team
Meet Anna Veteto
I’m a mother to three adventurous children, Elise, Joseph, and Oliver. My husband and I grew up in Oklahoma City, with the better part of my life residing here in The Village. My hobbies are crochet, sewing, gardening, and playing instruments. For the last year, I’ve been assisting the children’s minister at The Village Baptist Church. I found Kingsgate last year when my middle child was ready for preschool. I was so impressed with the love and enthusiasm the teachers had for their students. I felt that my children would be taken care of and surrounded by adults who truly enjoy what they do. I’m so excited to get to be a part of that this year!
