What was the change ?

The Reformation was a change in the Catholic Church. People started to protest the leadership, rituals, and the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. Reformers wanted the church to change and become more spiritual and humble. This lead to the creation of the Protestant churches

Who were the people associated with the change ?

How did the change impact society at the time ?

The Catholic church became more unified as a result from the Council of Trent. The Council of Trent was a meeting of church leaders that met to pass doctrines. Individual monarchs and states gained more power. This led to the development of modern nation-states. It also caused an overall decline in the authority of the church.

How is that change evidenced in today's modern society ?

The Catholic church today has a mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. People need good work as well as faith to win salvation. The church itself has its own beliefs separate from the state.
