Exciting New Program coming to FCE!!
Puppies and Pals is a new program that is an extension of the Love on a Leash (LOAL) program that has been at FCE for the past 2 years. Love on Leash involves students reading books to therapy dogs every Wednesday. Our students that have participated in the LOAL program have enjoyed the program so much that we wanted ALL students to have this opportunity.
Trained therapy dogs and their handlers will visit individual classrooms at FCE for 20-25 minutes giving students the opportunity to pet the dogs and learn more about them during a student driven question and answer share time. The dog handlers may also share a book with the class during this time as well. The program will start in January.
If you do NOT want your child to participate in the Puppies and Pals program, please complete the form below or send an email directly to your child’s teacher AND myself at mmeyer@hse.k12.in.us. You will receive an email confirmation once I have received your email requesting that your child DOES NOT participate.
