Conrad Owl News
December 2021
Hello Conrad Families,
How is it that the year 2021 is already nearing an end? Time just seems to keep passing so quickly! It has been wonderful to see the growth that our preschoolers have made in the time that they have been with us at Conrad ELC. Just wait to see what happens in the last half of the year!
Our next family engagement event will be on Friday, December 10th with our Winter Storyland book walk. Our classes are hard at work with creating the art to hang in the classroom and Cloud Room windows to go along with the book "Sneezy the Snowman." Feel free to read the story with your child(ren) so that you can share in the fun of retelling the story as you take the book walk with your child's class. If weather permits, we will have a snowman activity for you to do with your child following the walk. If the weather doesn't cooperate that day, we will send the activity home with you.
We will have an early dismissal with the end of the semester on Tuesday, December 21st at 11:00 AM. There will be no PM preschool that day. PM preschool students' last day will be Friday, December 17th. Winter break will be from December 22nd - January 9th. Preschool students will return on Tuesday, January 11th. We hope you all have a joyous winter holiday season and enjoy the presence of family and friends.
We are looking forward to these opportunities to connect with our families and continue to build a strong community. At Conrad, we are BETTER TOGETHER!
Kindly,
Stephanie Lee
Conrad Administrator

Vice President: Rachel Williams (Ms. Tico's Classroom)
Treasurer: Lura Jepson (Mrs. Kayla's Classroom)
Secretary: Krystal (Wilson) Gagnon (Ms. Tico's Classroom)
These ladies have been hard at work organizing fund raisers and other events for our students. This month, there are a few fundraising events. On Friday, December 3rd, Panda Express will be hosting a fundraiser for Conrad ELC. In addition, the Popcornopolis fundraiser is running until December 16th. You can use the this link to order: https://fundraising.popcornopolis.com/pages/conrad-early-learning-center-pto. What's great about the popcorn fundraiser is that anyone can order and the items ship directly to the receiver. Feel free to share this link with your family and friends! Flyers for both fundraisers are attached below. Money raised will go toward new indoor recess equipment and additional play items for the classrooms.
We also have a couple of Room Parents who will be representing Conrad on our CPP Advisory Council and DAAC Committee: Lura Jepson and Shawnie Kroll. If anyone else is interested in joining either of these committees, contact Ms. Stephanie. We would love to have two to three parent reps!

In addition, students should not be dropped off or picked up at the back of the school. That area is a bus loading/unloading zone.
