Welcome to Summerfest 2023!
Hello Chelmsford Families!
Registration for Summerfest and SummerQuest full day summer programs will open on Wednesday March 22nd at 10 a.m.
Register on ChelmsfordCommunityEd.com.
Registration for Summerfest/SummerQuest is based on your child’s grade. Please make sure your child’s grade is correct for this school year before registration.
If you need to update your child’s grade, please email us at commed@chelmsford.k12.ma.us before registration opens.
Registration under the wrong grade group could cause you to lose your spot in Summerfest/SummerQuest.
Please see our website for complete details. All forms listed below will need to be filled out before you can complete registration for each program.
Summerfest: Open 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. For students in 1st-6th grade.
Dates: July 5th-August 11th
Welcome to Summerfest 2023!
Summerfest is designed around choices! The children will be able to pick which areas they would like to play and explore during rotation periods to allow for an opportunity to play with neighbors or friends who are close in age. Our goal is to allow the children more time to do the things they really love, while still offering a variety of choices. We will have all our favorite areas open this summer: the STEM Room, Art Room, Chill Zone, Gym, Playground, Café, and Outdoor Rec.
Our program will be located at the Chelmsford Community Education Building, 170 Dalton Road 01824 Chelmsford, MA. Summerfest has weekly field trips or in-house guests, lots of air-conditioned spots to cool off, and sprinklers and water play will provide refreshing fun on hot summer days. The staff consists of certified teachers, educational support personnel, nurses, college and high school students.
Please see our website for field trip details.
Forms to complete before Summerfest Registration:
**If your child has an allergy or medication, additional forms will be due before they can start our program.
SummerQuest: Open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday for students in 6th-9th grade.
Dates: July 10th-August 12th
SummerQuest is designed for kids entering 6th grade through entering 9th grade. We schedule our weeks with full day field trips that will bring your child to a variety of locations with exciting and enriching activities such as rock climbing, hiking, amusement parks, kayaking, ropes courses and more! We use these trips to create a social environment where kids can engage with their peers with guided independence.
We are offering 5 weeks of off-site field trips. Each Friday will be a ½ day community service project and a ½ day at Varney Park/Freeman Lake. Our weekly service project will help our teens foster an appreciation for our town and instill in them the value of giving back.
Forms to complete before SummerQuest Registration:
- SummerQuest Application 2023
- SummerQuest Contact Form 2023
- SummerQuest Medical Information Form 2023
- SummerQuest Walker Permission Slip 2023
**If your child has an allergy or medication, additional forms will be due before they can start our program.

Chromebook Repair Protocol
Chromebook Repair Protocol: If your student enters a ticket through the IIQ Helpdesk while at home, they will need to drop off the Chromebook in the library when they come to school the next day. The Tech Department will collect the broken device and perform the repairs. Students may be able to get a loaner device while waiting for their device to be repaired.
When the repairs are done, the student will be alerted via their ticket/email to pick up their device in the library.
Please use this video tutorial for the process of submitting an IIQ Helpdesk ticket.
Please contact your child’s counselor if you have any concerns whether it is attendance related or not. Specific class/assignment related questions or concerns should be directed to the particular teacher involved. Our counselor assignments are as follows:
