A message from the Principal-Mrs. Bookman
To our Suffield Family,
Something new this year at Suffield is a regular visit to the library! We are fortunate that now our students can visit each week. Mrs. McAmis is not only exposing students to a variety of awesome books, but also many STEM and brain-challenging puzzles and games. Students get the opportunity to stretch their minds and apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the activities that they are doing during their time in the media center. As you can see below, students are so happy to be able to get back to these awesome activities!
One favorite from this week is called Qbitz. In this game, students have to look at a design and then race to complete the design using cubes. This is a great family game for all ages! Check it out and put it on your family Christmas list!
As a reminder, the fire safety posters that students learned about in art class are due on Thursday! Talk with your child about fire safety in the kitchen so they can decide how to create a poster to show this. Turn in posters to Mrs. Tannerty by Thursday. More information is found below.
It sure feels like fall today! I hope you have a chance to spend some time together as a family doing something fun this weekend!

Birthday Treats
At this time, we will allow Birthday Treats to be brought to school. We are required to inform you of the Healthy Eating Guidelines (see below) and suggest that you use this when selecting a treat. Whatever you choose, please note that all treats brought to school for the purpose of sharing with others, need to be prepackaged so we are able to know and see the ingredients list. There are many students who have a variety of food allergies and having the ingredients listed helps the school nurse determine if a student with allergies can eat a particular treat.
