Summer, Summer, Summertime.....

Hello GSA Leaders and other support Unicorns!

Summer is finally (almost) upon us! For those of you who have the summer off, I hope its a time of rest and rejuvenation. For those of us who do not, I hope this summer is still filled with recharging. What a year this has been! Speaking of which, if you are a GSA leader please fill out this survey. It's confidential. I want to know from you all how I've done serving you and our students this year, and how helpful or unhelpful this newsletter is.

I hope next year I can come to you in person and am excited for what is on the horizon!

Rainbow Story Time is coming!

Library Services will be presenting DPS's first ever Rainbow Storytime in June. This is a space dedicated to uplifting and celebrating LGBTQ+ identities through storytelling and community-building, all are welcome.

LGBTQ+ elders will read affirming stories and then lead a discussion connecting the story to our lived experiences as LGBTQ+ people, and the people who affirm us.

I know summer can be a difficult time to connect. If you or your students are interested in attending, please fill out this form so I know how to get in touch in June.

Watch the Pride Parade!

Just a reminder that the Denver Pride Parade is virtual this year. DPS will have a virtual float, so be sure to tune in on Sunday, June 27. Check https://lgbtqcolorado.org/ for more info on how to watch.

GSA listening circle form

I have been collecting stories from GSAs across the district to better inform my work. If there are students who would like to give input, please share this form with them by the end of school! This form is not collecting emails and what is shared will not be connected to any specific student or school. This form is for students only.
