March was Music In Our Schools Month and CCES celebrated in style with weekly music contests for all students. Congratulations to all of the winners! CCES students also shared their musical talents this past month by performing for families and the community. The newly formed Orff Ensemble participated in Play the Recorder Day on March 15th, playing The Canoe Song on recorders, xylophones and percussion. We finished out our Music In Our Schools Month concerts with our 2nd and 3rd grade Bakery concerts on March 24th. Each class had a featured role in the concerts, singing, playing and having a good time, all in the name of baked goods. Some students were lucky enough to win some cookies to take home and share with their families!
As we head into the last weeks of schools, we will be learning more about instruments of the orchestra. Take a moment during spring break to explore these kid-friendly websites:

In January, they participated in the Fulton County Technology Competition at Centennial High School. Crabapple Crossing had 10 projects place at the Fulton County Competition!

All of our 1st Place winners competed in the Georgia State Technology Competition in March and we would like to say congratulations to Leela Ravoori, Swara Viswanadha, and Mira Eashwaran for placing 1st in the state of Georgia and to Navina Doss and Harshita Challa for their 2nd place finish!
Crabapple Crossing also entered 9 projects into the Fulton County Media Festival and the following 5 projects are moving on to the Georgia State Media Festival in May:
