4th Grade Science Newsletter

Mrs. Flowers

Previous Week in 4th Grade

Last week the students began to study different types of ecosystems and their parts. We completed an activity that simulated how scientist might go about counting animals in a particular ecosystem. Students then learned about the terrain and plant and animals of a tundra, rain forest, deserts, grasslands and wetlands.

This week in 4th Grade

Students are beginning the week by working in groups to develop travel posters for their assigned ecosystem. They always love this type of work because it allows them to use their creativity. Later on in the week students will learn ab out how living things get their energy. Students will learn about and discuss consumers, producers and decomposers.
