What does it attack and how is it transmitted?

Herpes attacks your reproductive and integumentary system in the form of painful burning blisters on your genitals and around your mouth. It can be transmitted by having contact with open sores or even having intercourse with an asymptomatic infectant

Who does it affect?

Herpes mainly affects human (HSV-2) but there is a virus called CHV (canine herpes virus) which affects dogs/puppys otherwise, not many other animals have it (commonly at least)

Is there a cure?

Once you have the herpes virus, you can't ever get rid of it. However there are drugs that can reduce the chance of recurring outbreaks. These drugs can make breakouts less frequent and less painful, but CANNOT get rid of the virus completely
