Tips from the Pro's
Welcome Tips from the Pro's
This week's tips will focus on dealing with the summer heat on a tennis court. One of the toughest elements to deal with on a tennis court is the heat, especially in South Louisiana. Here are a few tips to keep you healthy in the heat!
- Drink lots of water!! Drink water before, during and after play. You can't underestimate the power of hydration
- Bring a hat and sunglasses to protect your face
- Lather on the sunscreen before and during play. You can never put on enough!
- Bring snacks to the court as well as something to drink to keep your energy up in the heat
- Umbrella. Bring an umbrella to the courts with you to provide some shade and stay cool
- Extra clothes. Chances are you will be sweating quite a bit and you will need to keep fresh clothes close
- Avoid the tennis court from the hours of noon until around 5 in the summer months. It can reach nearly 120 degrees on a hard court during the summer time in Louisiana
