Continental Drift

There is evidence that Pangaea was true like the same animals fossil found on different continents, the same plant fossil found on most of the continents, the glaciers in tropical regions and the rock layers are the same in Appalachian Mountains to the one in Greenland and Western Europe and the southern part of America rocks are the same to the ones in Africa.

German scientist Alfred Wegener formed this idea of Continental Drift. He argued that todays continents once formed a single landmass, which he named Pangaea (Greek for "all land"). It broke into pieces due to the weaknesses in the earth's crust as they were made up of less dense materials, which drifted centimeter by centimeter over millions of years until they arrived at where they are now.

This here is the Continental drift document link

I believe in Pangaea happening a long time ago because there's tons of evidence that support it and how else did all that stuff became. That's why I believe in Continental Drift.

Seafloor Spreading

The seafloor spreading happens when the seafloor gets hot, less dense material below Earth's crust rises toward the surface at the mid-ocean ridges. Then, it flows sideways, carrying the seafloor away from the ridge in both directions. The subduction zone is when it goes under the continental crust and melts into magma. The young rocks are made in the middle (made from seafloor spreading) and the old ones are right by the continents. Because of the seafloor spreading it cause the magnetic reversal the change North to South. The oceanic crust from from the magma coming.

Sea-floor spreading is the process in which the ocean floor is extended when two plates move apart. As the plates move apart, the rocks break and form a crack between the plates.

Again like the Seafloor Spreading I believe in this also because there is tons of evidence supporting it and that why I believe in Seafloor Spreading.

Plate Tectonics

Plate tectonics theory- When the lithosphere is broken into pieces called plates.

Convergent Boundary-

When two plates are pushing each other.

Divergent Boundary-

pushes two plates away from each other.

Transform Boundary-

When two plates slide against each other.

Plate tectonics is the theory that the plates are moving around on the asthenosphere (the liquid like substance of the upper mantle).

I kinda believe in this and don't. There really wasn't that much info about it that I could find but it did had some like the boundaries and the theory of it.
