Days for Girls International is a grassroots non-profit creating a more dignified, humane and sustainable world for girls through advocacy, reproductive health awareness, education and sustainable feminine hygiene, because no girl should go without.
1 in every 10 girls in Sub-Saharan Africa misses school during their period or drops out because of it.
A simple solution gives days back to girls. Days that change their lives.
Event Information
Days for Girls Sewing Day
Bring your sewing machine, thread, scissors, and your friends! We will be cutting, sewing, and assembling reusable feminine hygiene kits to be sent overseas.
Please RSVP to kristen@daysforgirls.org with the number of attendees and specify if you can bring a sewing machine with you.
Please no children under 5 years old. No nursery is provided.

Donate any of the following items:
- Fabric (100% Cotton Flannel / Quilters 100% Cotton)
- Thread (durable polyester)
- Panties (Women’s 5/6 or Girl’s 12/14)
- Washcloths
- Gallon Ziploc Freezer Bags
Please notify kristen@daysforgirls.org of what you plan to donate by Sept. 20, 2014!
Fabric, panties, and washcloths should be bright or dark colors (no white or pastels). Patterns should be only floral or geometric (no animals, words, people, or culturally specific prints). Please pre-wash and press all fabric!
