Summer is almost here and so is the SPL Summer Reading Program! Please make plans to join us the first four Wednesdays in June for books, games, stories, snacks, and fun!
We will kick off our Summer Reading Programming with a hands on presentation from the McWane Science Center on Wednesday morning, June 1st at 10:00.
The Summer Reading Program is free and open to children ages 4-12 years old. To participate, please call or visit the Springville Public Library to sign-up your child.
Author, Julie Fletcher Watson, visits SPL on May 21st!
Mark your calendars for our next author visit on Saturday, May 21st, at 12:00! Springville Public Library will be hosting Alabama author, Julie Fletcher Watson. She will be reading and signing copies of her Christian, historical fiction novel, No Shadow of Turning. Mrs. Fletcher will also discuss the writing and publishing process. All avid readers and aspiring writers are encouraged to join us for this event.
Local Artist of the Month Polly Warrick Ebdon
Polly grew up in Barnwell, Alabama and relocated to Springville, with her husband John in 2006. She is a self-taught artist who credits her husband for encouraging her to pursue her passion for art after the tragic loss of her parents and daughter. Polly has used her talent to support charity causes. Her work will be on display at SPL throughout the month of May.
Join us for Story time every Wednesday in May
Your preschool aged children are invited to SPL for story time every Wednesday at 10:30.
