DR. BOB BEALE NAMED TO COACHES HALL OF FAME

Congratulations to Cheltenham High School Boys' Track and Field coach Dr. Bob Beale on being named to the "Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame." He is only the second Cheltenham High coach to be named to the Hall of Fame. The first was legendary Panther girls' basketball coach Bob Schaefer who amassed 757 career wins in his CHS coaching career. Over a 33-year career, Dr. Beale has molded the CHS Track and Field program into one of the best in the state and country. He earned his first state championship medal in 1984, coaching the 1600 meter relay team to victory. Since then Dr. Beale has added another "22" individual or relay state championships. Along the way, he has coached the Panthers to a number of conference and district titles, topping it all off with the PIAA Boys State Championship in 2014, and 2015, and the PIAA Boys Indoor tittle in 2015. Dr. Beale will be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame on Tuesday, November 24 at the Normandy Farm Hotel and Conference Center in Blue Bell.
