Court Case!
Barron vs. Baltimore~ 1833. That the bill of rights did not apply to actions taken by local or state governments. This decision stood with every little thought given to it until after the Civil war when the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified.
Scenario
As I was wondering the store, I saw a shady woman walking around the aisles. I ran into her and she dropped a box into my cart. I took the box and brought it to my house. As i was driving my car into my garage i was rushed by the police. The police officer said they had me on video doing a drop off with drugs. They looked over and saw the box and wanted to see it. I gave it to them and then they wanted to search my house. I asked if they had a search warrant but they had already rushed it.
