MIDDLE SCHOOL DANCE ON JANUARY 19TH
The circus is coming!
We are using a new promotion for the circus that works very well...all tickets are sold at the door, on showday. There is no advance sale of tickets....simply flyers that will go home K-6 with free children's coupons and also a $5 off adult ticket coupon. Adults bring the coupon to the door and receive $5 off their regular adult price of $15.
News from the classroom!
In Social Studies 6, students have begun to research ancient Egypt. Students will complete the research in class. However, they will be working on the project at home. Students will not be working on their projects in school.
Student’s s research is due Thursday, January 18th. The project is due Tuesday, January 30th.

Spanish students are onto new units! The 1a class will be studying food this unit. We have already discussed Argentinian and Spanish foods. This class will be having a short quiz on conjugation on Friday.
1B students are in a unit focusing on chores and rooms of the house. This is a great time to practice Spanish at home, feel free to give extra chores from the vocabulary list! The 1b vocabulary quiz will be next week Tuesday. Just as a reminder, student are able to turn in missing work until the end of the quarter.
In Humanities 7 -Social Studies this past week, the students read an account of the Battle of Long Island as told by Timothy Buell. Captain Buell served in George Washington's Continental Army. In his account, he describes the historic retreat when 300 British warships sailed into New York harbor trapping the Patriots on Long Island. After the war, Captain Buell became one the early settlers of Bloomfield.
ELA 8 - Students have been assigned their Learning Portfolio tasks and will be working on these for the next few weeks. Ask your son/daughter about their topic and what they are discovering!
Bomber Marching Band Color Guard
Spring Sign-up has begun. Open to all students in grades 6-12. Please sign up on Mr. Hoffman's office door in the band room if you are interested. No experience needed, we will teach you everything you need to know. Requirements: Attend all rehearsals and march in 3 parades in May and June. See Mr. Hoffman with questions! Deadline to sign up - Friday, March 23rd.
is a club that is open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members who are interested in fostering understanding, acceptance, and unity among people from all backgrounds. Meetings will be on the first and third Thursdays of the month during 11th period in Dr. King's Room 209. All are welcome!
There will be a volleyball clinic for any and all interested girls who are in grades 6-9 on Sundays from 2-4 pm on the following dates and times:
