Horse ID sheet and Level Testing Deadline

Level testing & ID forms must be completed by June 1 for youth only competing at the County level.

Dodge County Horse show will be held Wednesday, July 27 at the Horse Arena, Scribner (Rain Location: Christensen Field, Fremont)

Premier Animal Science Events (PASE) is a two-day event designed to help you learn about issues related to the animal industry, explore career opportunities that are available, compete with other teens from across the state and have FUN! The event is sponsored by Nebraska 4-H, the College of Agricultural Science and Natural Resources, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Investment Finance Authority. Opportunities at PASE include livestock, meats, and poultry judging contests, as well as livestock skill-a-thon and quiz bowl. Youth can participate in more than one contest or event as their schedule allows.

Life Challenge is a two-day event designed to help youth learn about issues related to Family and Consumer Sciences, explore career opportunities that are available, compete with other teens from across the state, and have fun! Opportunities at Life Challenge include family and consumer science team problem solving challenges, social activities, and campus tours. Youth can participate in any or all of these activities.

This year’s event will be held June 19-21 and the deadline to register through the Nebraska Extension Office in Dodge County is JUNE 1. For a schedule of events, go to: &

2016 Dodge County Family Livestock Judging Contest

Families are invited to participate in the 2016 Dodge County Family Livestock Judging Contest on June 9: The Dodge County 4-H Program invites families both inside and outside of Dodge County to the Dodge County 4-H Family Livestock Judging Contest scheduled for Thursday, June 9 at the Masonic Home for Children in Fremont. 4-H clubs, FFA chapters and individuals are also welcome to take part in this family event! This is a great practice opportunity for youth participating in PASE. Registration will be held from 6:00-6:30 p.m., and the contest starting at 6:45 p.m. The Family Livestock Judging Contest provides a creative inter-generational opportunity by involving the entire family. Family members enter in the various age categories ranging from 5 years old to adults. Participants competed as individuals as well as on teams. Teams consist of three or more immediate family members and team total scores consist of the top/highest three scores from each family team. Prizes are awarded to the top individuals in each category as well as the top teams.

The deadline for enrollment is rapidly approaching. June 15 is the deadline to enroll in 4-H to be eligible to participate in the 2016 Dodge County Fair. If you have not submitted your enrollment yet, please do immediately. If you need assistance, please contact Amber at 402-727-2775. All Volunteers need to go in and complete their online enrollment this year as well. Click Here and you will be directed to the enrollment details. Livestock Quality Assurance Information - DUE June 15

Livestock Quality Assurance: All 4-H members exhibiting Beef, Sheep, Swine, Dairy, Dairy Goats, Meat Goats, Rabbits and Poultry will need to complete their Livestock Quality Assurance for 2016. This is an online course that you need to complete three modules within your age division. For step-by-step directions on how to complete your registration for this course Click Here and go to Quality Assurance Moodle Course Guide. If you have been in the course previous years, please use your same email and password to re-enroll. This will allow you to see which modules you have completed in previous years.

Dodge County Shooting Sports ~~~~~~~~~~ BB Gun - Air Rifle - Shotgun

New for this year in Shooting Sports is


This will be a pilot program for the 2016 DC Fair.

If things go well it will possibly become an event for the 2017 DC Fair.

This event is open to participants age 10 and up. (4-H age)

Hunters Education is not required to participate.

All Skill levels welcome. In order to compete,

youth must complete at least 4 approved practices.

the sooner the better so that a practice schedule can be set up.

BB Gun and Air Rifle please let me know.

This is open to all members that are of regular 4-H age.

If a member is a first time shooter they must complete at least

4 approved practices before they can compete at a Shooting Competition.
