Greetings Park Terrace Families!
This is truly a wonderful week. It is a great time to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for here at school, all we have accomplished and all we have to look forward to. It has been a great start to the school year, and I am truly thankful to everyone — students, staff and families — for all the hard work they have put in to make this an exceptional school year.
Today, our first grade students held their annual float parade around the school. It is just wonderful to feel the pride students have for their hard work and see the support of the entire school as they cheer them on. It’s a great way to begin the Thanksgiving break. I have included some photos of the parade down below!
Please remember, in observance of the national Thanksgiving holiday there is no school tomorrow or Friday. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend – however you spend the time.
Please also mark your calendar for these upcoming dates:
- Dec. 1 – End of Tri 1: We will wrap up the first trimester on December 1.
- Dec. 2 & Dec. 5 – No school: Please be sure to plan for upcoming non-school days on Friday December 2 or Monday, December 5.
- Dec. 8, 5-7 p.m. – STEM Night: We hope you can join us for a fun night of learning and activities!
- Dec. 9 – Report cards are available: Grades will be posted to parent portal. Next week, I will include more information on report cards and the grading systems.
I truly hope everyone in the Park Terrace community has a relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving. I look forward to continuing this positive energy into next week, next trimester and the rest of this year!
We’ll see students back at school on Monday, November 28!
Sincerely,
Mona Perkins
