New Information

7th Grade Solo Night & Step-Up Instrument Night is Tomorrow! ( Tue, Jan 19 @ PMMS)

7th Graders choosing to perform their solo at the 7th Grade Solo Night at PMMS on Tue, Jan. 19 can find their performance time on our website or at this link: https://goo.gl/umeXVO This is a required performance for students not participating in the WSMA Festival. Students should arrive 10-15 minutes before their performance time to warm-up in the band room and can leave immediately after. Parents/guardians are encouraged to listen to your child's performance.


Rob Smith, Ward Brodt Representative, will be at PMMS from 4:00-6:30 PM to answer questions about the Step-Up Instrument Program. You can make an appointment by emailing me or just stop in the band room to see the instruments and Rob.

6th Grade Jazz Canceled This Week

Due to the 7th Grade Solo Night, we will cancel 6th Grade Jazz this week. We will resume next Tuesday. Keep practicing!

Honor Band Updates

NBA-WC Honors Band - Best wishes to Josh Caron (7th Tuba), Kallan Engleson (7th Percussion), Anastasia Rockman (7th Flute) and Alexandra Seery (7th Clarinet) who will be performing with the NBA-WC Honors Band this Saturday in Appleton!


Tri-State Honors Band - Congratulations to Anastasia Rockman (7th Flute), Carter Helt (7th Tuba), Emily Henderson (7th Tenor Sax), Emily Tess (7th Horn), Austin Wells (7th Alto Sax), and Hannah Schultz (7th Bassoon) who were selected to participate in the 2016 Tri-State Honors Band in Decorah, Iowa. These students will perform with students from Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin on Saturday, March 5.


WSMA Middle Level Honors Band - This honors band takes place every October at the State Music Conference. Students must audition for a spot in this prestigous ensemble. Students must perform a Class B or A solo along with four required scales and sight-reading. To audition, complete the online registration and payment ($23) by Feb. 5. http://wsmamusic.org/ml-honors/auditions/

This Week In Lessons

Given the shortened week and a lot happening in other classes, 6th graders will not have regular weekly lessons, but sectionals during band instead. 7th graders are required to come to one lesson during the next two weeks to begin checking off their concert music.
