Te Karere a te Tumuaki (Principal's Message)
Kia ora tātou katoa (Hi/greetings/hello everybody). Thank you to everyone who participated in and helped organise the monster online auction, it was a huge success - please see the update from FoGS below. Thanks also to whānau for supporting students at home with production prep & costuming. The film is being put together and will be shared before the end of the school year.
As the year draws to a close we are mindful of families finding it difficult to navigate the giving of gifts to teachers when there are a number of teachers/staff members in each syndicate. We don't expect end of year gifts from families. In some schools, a parent from each syndicate takes on the role of organising a combined gift from all the families. Perhaps in the future this may be something families would like to do, however for this year please don't stress about gifts for staff, it is not something we are expecting.
Reports are being sent home on Monday the 13th of December. If you would like to view the videos we made last year explaining how to understand the reports and graphs, please see the links below.
We are excited to share our Kapa Haka Groups performances. A huge thanks to Maia Maunsell and Whaea Micaela for working with the groups this year. You have both done an amazing job. Please see the video links below.
Noho ora mai (stay well, look after yourself),

Carterton Rotary Club Dictionaries
Each year the Rotary Club of Carterton generously donate dictionaries to all of our Year 4 students. We thank the Carterton Rotary Club for their ongoing support for this project. Dictionaries will be named and kept at school for students to use while in Ruamahanga. At the end of Year 6, they will be able to bring them home.

Online Auction - FoGS Thank You.
We are blown away by the support for this year’s Scarecrow fundraiser for our School. Approximately $28,000 was raised from the online Monster Auction, Trade Me Auctions and Scarecrow raffle, which is amazing given the challenging year that everyone has had and not being able to host the fair! Funds raised will be going towards Learning Support, the School hall, online subscriptions and new classroom furniture. Thanks to everyone who made scarecrows, donated, placed bids, sold raffle tickets and shared the auction link and to FOGS who again co-ordinated this major fundraiser. Special thanks to all our generous sponsors who made this all possible. Please take a look through the below list and support these local businesses that support Gladstone School!

- keep two metres physical distance from people you do not know
