What I learned...
Johanna, during the war, was thrown into a detention camp. Unlike many other Jews, Johanna was able to get out. She was also able to hide from the Germans for a year until she escaped to Switzerland. I learned that even against the odds, you can still achieve many things. Johanna was a Jew, and many Jews at that time were getting killed and catured. She was able to survive against all the odds.
