It has been so nice to connect with so many Westwood families this past week. Many parents are reporting that their children seem more anxious than usual right now. Please rest assured that this is very normal. These are unusual circumstances that we are in and as a result, children might feel confused, anxious, upset and frustrated at how much life has seemed to change overnight. Children definitely pick up cues from us so if we can manage our anxious feelings it will go a long way in helping children learn how to manage their feelings as well. With that in mind, below are a few activities to assist with that.

Beginning this week, I will be holding office hours every Monday from 1 pm - 3 pm and Tuesday from 2 pm - 4 pm. Office hours are a great time to reach out to me and know that I will be available to respond right away unless I am currently speaking with another family. That said, I know this time may not work for all families so I am happy to work around your schedule. Continuing Student Registration Now Open April 1 - April 30!

THANK YOU to all of you that have already completed the online registration!!! If you have not yet done your registration, please take some time in the coming days to do so We must receive a completed digital packet for all returning students. This will allow for proper placement of your student for the 2020-2021 school year. This annual digital process will allow a family to complete one single “family” packet instead of completing one packet per student. Packets can be completed using any computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection. If you do not have access to any computing device or internet connection, your student’s school will provide access to complete the packet.

Now is the time to confirm that you know your parent login username and password. This information will be needed to complete the registration packet. Please take a moment and ensure you can login to https://sis.powayusd.com . If you do not know your username and/or password, you can visit https://password.powayusd.com to retrieve your login credentials.

Please email Kholmes@powayusd.com as soon as possible if you do not plan to return to PUSD for the 2020-2021 school year.
