LPS Weekly Newsletter ~ 9/9/2022

Message From The Principal

Dear LPS Families,

LECC, LPS, and LES updated Chromebooks this year as part of our district's technology plan. We are super excited to be 1:1 in all of our classrooms. The Chromebook is a wonderful learning tool to support our work with students while allowing students to build a solid foundation for good Digital Citizenship.

It really is amazing to see how quickly our students learn the necessary routines and procedures to allow for small group instruction and personalized learning to take place. Take a peek at our Tigers in action in this week's Technology Expected Behaviors video that Mrs. Stubenrauch created. You will see that our students and teachers have quickly created positive classroom learning communities to support exploration and growth!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend! We will see our Tigers back on Monday.

Big picture

Resource for Parents - Post Pandemic Parenting

Our partners at BestPoint Behavioral Health recognize the continuing challenges facing students, families, and schools today regarding mental health needs associated with the pandemic. To support families at home, they have put together an online class that teaches practical, easy-to-use techniques that help children rebound from the stress and anxiety called, "Post-Pandemic Parenting". This compact set of short modules provides parents and guardians strategies to help children manage stress, anxiety, and depression.

Change of Clothing

Sometimes kids spill milk, have an accident, a bloody nose or get wet on the playground. To help ease the anxiety of having to change clothes at school and since the clinic doesn’t always have an extra supply, we are asking that families send in a complete change of clothing inside a Ziploc bag. The bag can be kept in your child’s classroom cubby for such incidents.

Please be sure to label the bag with your child’s name.

Please include:

  • Pants
  • Shirt
  • Underwear
  • Socks
