Lent is a time for reconsidering our feelings, for letting our eyes be opened to injustice, to open our hearts to those suffering. Pope Francis
Dear whānau, tamariki and parishioners,
Welcome to our new student, Spencer Vallely who joins his big sisters Briee and Elsie at school. Happy School Days Spencer.
Lucky old Spencer started on athletics day! We were so lucky to get our athletics days completed the other day. The children would have made you very proud, everyone had a go, so good to see everyone putting their whole confidence in God!
You'll see a note below about COVID in our local community. Please read and make sure you contact the school if you have to isolate, and a reminder that if someone in your home has COVID, contact school and we'll let know a date when your child can return (that's the 11th day along with negative tests to that point).
This weekend the Sunday Mass was due to be a school Mass. As usual the adaptable Mrs Gray has managed to work out a way that we can as a school still celebrate with the parish without being there on person. The zoom invite is here, if you are able to pop online at 10.00 for the Mass. This week the children attended Ash Wednesday Mass via zoom which was a beautiful opportunity to mark the beginning of Lent.
God bless, Annie
