Welcome Back!

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a restful and happy break! We are so excited to see everyone again. Students in grades 1, 2, 4 and 5 will see our new interactive boards in their classrooms ready to go. We are so thankful to our PTO and all of our families for raising money to go towards this initiative. Teachers will be officially trained in February, but they are ready to start using them tomorrow.

Additionally, we have a new security person, who will monitor our campus for safety. He will also be stationed by the new security building by the entrance and will be requesting to see your driver's license and asking you your intended destination.

We would like to invite you to our Martin Luther King Jr. event on Thursday, January 16th at 6:30 pm at Oasis HS. For more details, please see our flyer.

Chick Fil A Night

Please join us for our Chick Fil A Night on Wednesday, January 15th from 5:00-8:00 pm. See flyer for more details.

A Message from Mrs. Gamboa...

AR FUN DAY

Please review the AR Fun Day letter, from October, to remind your child of the criteria to earn this super fun day.

E-Book Collection

Our E book collection contains most of the 2019-2020 SSYRA books along with a few audio books.

You will have 14 days to read, but if you finish early simply go into the account and click RETURN. This will free the copy for someone else and allow your child to check out another ebook.

To access Sora program in the browser,

visit https://sorapp.com/library/oesfl or download the Sora app (Apple or Android) and search for Oasis. Students will sign in using their Oasis Google account username and password.

Username: first name.lastname@oasishs.org

Password: Children in grades 3-5 know their passwords

A letter containing this information was sent home in September.

Please utilize this wonderful resource and CHECK OUT and RETURN often.

Rainbow Reading

The K-2 Rainbow Reading Program is in full swing now. All students received the red reading log at the beginning of the school year. As you and your child read the books listed on the sheet and it is returned during their library visit, they will spin for a prize and receive the next colored log.

The goal is for students to read through the colors of a rainbow and reach "PURPLE". Then they will join us during our Purple People Party in May. During this party, students will wear purple, and eat purple foods, play games, and enjoy time with other readers.

If you need another red sheet, please send an email and include the student and his or her teacher's name to the request. Rhonda.Gamboa@CapeCharterSchools.org This is a fun time for your child to explore books in varying genres from your home and public library. Also, they can search for books in the school library during their Specials visit.

Thank you for supporting your child's education.

Fortify App

The app, which is available for download on Apple and Android mobile devices, is critical to ensuring all Florida schools are safe environments where students and educators can experience and share the joy of learning without fear. FortifyFL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows you to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials.

The Florida Legislature directed this tool’s development in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. For more information visit: https://getfortifyfl.com/
