COUNT DAY IS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2018
October 3, 2018 is Count Day! It is always important for students to be in school, but October 3rd is especially important as the funding our district receives to educate your children is based on the number of students in attendance on these count days each year.

Running of the Bulldogs- Bailey Lake to Marquette Michigan
A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO ALL OFF THE WONDERFUL VOLUNTEERS AND OUR PTA CHAIRS FOR PUTTING ON A SUCCESSFUL EVENT.
- THANK YOU TO OUR FUN RUN COMMITTEE FOR YOUR COUNTLESS HOURS OF MONEY COUNTING, SPONSORSHIP'S, AND SCHEDULING. CHRISTY KREUCHER, ELENI SARDELLI(not pictured), ANGELA PRUETZ,THERESA ROTMAN, KATIE BARNES, AND MELISSA LEWIS.
- Our bulldogs ran an amazing 477 miles all together that is all the way from BLE to Marquette Michigan!
- Thank you for your generosity in support of our endeavors at Bailey Lake- The fun run once again raised $27,000. These funds will allow the PTA to continue to fund activities like Seuss Fair, Field Day, Field Trips, fund classroom enrichment's and assemblies, and so much more.
- Through the generosity of our sponsors, your child received a BLE t-shirt. Each grade level received a different color. Please keep these shirts handy as your child will have many opportunities throughout the school year to wear these. Your teacher will request them to wear the shirts for field trips and other school activities.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES!
BULLDOG DADS- PLEASE CHECK OUT THE SIGN UP GENIUS
Bailey Lake is starting something new this year...we are looking for two dads each day to be visible, provide additional recess supervision, interact/play with students, and/or officiate a student game.
Who: Dads of Bailey Lake Students
What: Bulldog Dads
Where: Recess
When: 12:10-1:40pm
Why: Provide a forum to partner with Dads to volunteer during the school day, provide a positive male role model to students, and increase surveillance, safety, and supervision on the playground at recess.

Help our Scouts **Diaper Drive** - Troop 71261
DIAPER DRIVE
Girl Scout Troop 71261 will be holding a Diaper Drive at BLE from Wednesday, October 3rd - Friday, October 12th. Please consider donating diapers (size 2-6), baby wipes or baby bottles (donation bins will be placed at the front of the school). All donations will help stock Care House of Oakland County, which distributes diapers to families in need. If you have any questions, please email juliemonnet@mac.com. Bring your families and kick-off the Reflections contest by exploring the world of art with hands-on creating, entertainment, and all around fun. We will have special guests and performances throughout the night. All 6 fine arts categories will be represented with activities pertaining to Literature, Photography, Visual Arts, Film Production, Dance Choreography, and Music Composition.
