Marina Guastucci

Marina discovered yoga at the age of 27 after a life of sports-playing and outdoor adventure. She was inspired to study and teach yoga after experiencing everything from freedom, openness, love, anger and a ton of struggling while on her mat. She teaches an energizing, playful & creative Power Vinyasa class while drawing on influence from both Anusara and Budokon Yoga. She holds a BA in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley and is involved with various service-related projects. "Yoga is not just peace and bliss, rainbows and tutu's, yoga is an imitation of reality and reality can be ugly, cruel and all kinds of frustrating. We come to our mat over and over to deal with our shit, knowing that we may not find the answer; knowing that we are imperfect and flawed by nature and through our practice we find ways to cultivate a deeper understanding of these imperfections; we find ways to allow for all the crap to rise to the surface where we are forced to deal with it, weather or not the result proves to be welcomed. Through yoga, we create mindfulness, and it is through this mindfulness that we are able to live more truthfully and potently for and with ourselves and others"

Helaine Sheias

Helaine is a certified international group facilitator and Kripalu inspired Hatha Yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. She holds a doctoral degree in Human Sciences and a Masters in Child Development with a focus on Special Education. Heiaine is the originator of Echo-Yoga Healing, a earth-based spiritual approach to health and well-being. She is a graduate of the Socially Engaged Spirituality program at Saybrook Graduate school.

A pious believer in the Yogic "My body is my temple" philosophy, Helaine's life passion is to introduce yoga as an instrument for transformation and self-empowerment, thus bringing about a greater sense of spiritual consciousness and bodily awareness to individuals. Her goal is to teach people how to maintain sacredness in their lives by consistently embodying a sense of "wholeness", ie, by exploring their relationship with their mind, body and spirit, from a place of equanimity and self-acceptance.

As a Yoga therapist an international group facilitator for more than a decade, Helaine embraces yoga as the key to bridging people together in truth and integrity. Her classes are an invitation to explore and discover the essence of health and well-being in a creative, playful and safe environment.
