Robotics Ambassador
Taylor Halsey is Harlym Rose's (Rm 14) God-sister. She visited our Upper robotics team, and spoke with students about robotics and competitions. Taylor remembered seeing our students at their robotics tournament, where she was one of the judges. She brought three of her robots and put them on display for the students to see. She also visited Room 14 and the students were really excited about seeing and playing with the robots. Taylor has a BA in biotech engineering from California State Polytechnic University and is currently a graduate student at Cal Poly Pomona University. She is a robotics mentor at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena and teaches science each summer at Stanford and Cal. She was on the first all girls robotics team with the Girl Scouts and received the Gold award. Taylor was invited to the first science fair at the White House and met with President Obama. What an inspiration.
