Principal's Message
Riverfest: Thank you to the parents that volunteered and helped with the OTES Riverfest Booth. We know your time is valuable. We are in need of more volunteers to support our PTC activities and events. All our efforts go directly back to our students here at OTES. If you can consider supporting one event in the school year, that would be most appreciated.
Thank you to Cyr Bus and all the bus drivers for a successful first week of after school programming. We are pleased with our procedures and how smoothly the process has gone in this first week of after school programming
Fire Safety Week: We are so fortunate to have a great Fire Department in our community supporting our students and their understanding of Fire Safety. All next week the Firefighters will be visiting our school to support our school and students. We will probably conduct another fire drill with our Firefighters present.
Ice Cream Social: We are having our annual Ice Cream Social on October 10th from 12:00 to 1:30 pm. This is a PTC sponsored event just to celebrate the opening of school and to enjoy the fall season! If you'd like to participate and help with this activity (and eat some ice cream) please use the link to sign up: https://signup.com/go/shoeuzq
School Picture Day: We have scheduled school picture day for October 8th. If you are absent on this day, we always have a picture retake day (November 14th). If you would prefer to go online to order pictures instead of sending money into school, please visit mylifetouch.com, enter the picture day ID (LG109082Q0) and order the package you prefer.
School Inservice Day: On October 11th the teachers will be in session, but students will not! The teachers are working on several professional activities. They are looking at the NWEA results for grades 3-5 and developing instructional plans, Grades K-1 are working through their new Fundations Program and discussing upcoming lessons and activities, Grade 2 teachers are exploring two new spelling programs and starting to develop ideas for instructional plans for the 2020-2021 school year.
