LaCoste Elementary Newsletter
2022-2023 School Year / Week of August 22nd - 26th
From the Front Office:
Parents, I want to thank you for making education your priority and partnering with our campus for student success! Our Teachers, Staff, and Tutors did an amazing job educating our students.
We are very excited to announce that our campus received an A rating and compared to other schools with our same demographics we scored 100 in closing the gaps and the highest score of 89 in academic achievement.
We continue to need your support in making sure your child comes to school everyday. Please be advised that if you are dropping off after the first bell (7:40) you will need to drive to the front of the school, park, and escort your child to the door. You may not park in the fire lane. You must park and walk up to the window to complete a tardy slip paper if arriving after 7:50am.

Caught Reading!
LaCoste Elementary students often go above and beyond! With that in mind, we love to acknowledge when they do. Reading is an important everyday activity. It shows great examples of the Leadership Habits we know are the foundation of our success. We like to “Catch Students Reading”. Examples of that would be; students independently choosing to read as a leisure activity or students achieving a reading goal they had set for themselves, like finishing their first chapter book or reading their first book independently. Each week a name is randomly drawn from those submissions. Their name is displayed on a bulletin board in the library, mentioned in our morning campus announcements and posted in our Parent Newsletter. The student is also given a prize for their accomplishment.
This week’s winner is Armando Reyes!
Armando was caught by Mrs. Graff as he was reading during free time.
You can be a star when you get caught reading!
