Trojan Pride is on the Rise
Every new beginning starts with another beginning's end. This school year is quickly wrapping up and we are planning some more fun activities for our students and celebrate our successes. A new beginning starts on Tuesday, May 17th for our groundbreaking ceremony kicking off our construction project getting under way later this month. If you are able, please join us from 5-6pm by Door 5 along 76th Ct. for the ceremony.
We received a large number of submissions for the art and essay contests for "Building a Brighter Future" as part of our construction celebration. Thank you for encouraging your student(s) to participate. The winners of the art contest are Abbigail Valenzuela, second grader, and Kevin Dabros, fourth grader. The winners of the essay contest are Astrid Suarez, second grader, and fifth grader Santiago Vasquez.
The PTA at John Mills is quite active finding ways to support our students and teachers. We thank them for the Teacher Appreciation Week recognition of our faculty and staff and all the support and encouragement they provide throughout the year.
As a reminder, please be sure you have parent portal established with PowerSchool if you have not already done so. You will need an account to register your student for the upcoming school year as well as receive important information whether sent via text or email. There will be one more mailing being sent in the coming days.
