This is a reminder to all parents that March 9th and April 20th will be non-student days. Vista Unified is committed to the continuous improvement of our collective knowledge, skills, and abilities. We will be using these valuable professional learning days to deepen our work around equity, implicit bias, trauma sensitive schools, literacy, mathematics, and shifting from high stakes testing to building a performance framework. The use of these non-student days does not affect the end of the school year for students. The last day of the school year remains Wednesday, June 8, 2022. While we know that these days may create challenges for families, it is important that we continue to improve the capacity of our staff to provide high quality services in a student-centered learning environment.
