Ashiatsu is an art, where the feet glide effortlessly over the contours of the client’s body. The therapist supports themselves with wooden bars suspended from the ceiling while applying different foot strokes along the body. Using the pressure of the therapist’s feet on strategic points along the back and spine, a push-pull-pumping affect is created on the soft tissue that surrounds the muscles and inter-vertebral disc space. This deep compression on the soft tissue around the joints allows the nucleus pulposus (inside the disc) to assume its central position within the annular fibers and relieve irritations on the spinal nerve caused by inflammation and swelling is performed with smooth, flowing, gliding deep foot pressure. Mobilization above and below the joints naturally takes place due to the deep compression to surrounding muscle.

Classic Massage: Therapeutic / Relaxation

  • 60 Minutes / 90 Minutes

Classic full-body therapeutic Swedish-style massage – highly recommended for the massage novice. A combination of long strokes and kneading reduces tension, soothes sore muscles and increases circulation to promote total relaxation. Customized to your preference of light, medium or firm pressure and focus on your areas of concern. Your therapist will discuss with you any areas to focus on and your desired level of pressure.

CranioSacral Therapy

  • 30 Minutes / 60 Minutes

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. With a light touch, the CST practitioner uses his or her hands to evaluate the CranioSacral system by gently feeling various locations of the body to test for the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid pulsing around the brain and spinal cord. Soft-touch techniques are then used to release restrictions in any tissues influencing the CranioSacral system. By normalizing the environment around the brain and spinal cord and enhancing the body’s ability to self-correct, CranioSacral Therapy is able to alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions, from chronic pain and sports injuries to stroke and neurological impairment. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Hot Stone

  • 60 Minutes

The ancient healing art of Stone Massage has been part of the eastern world of alternative therapy for thousands of years. Stones are placed on various muscle groups to relax your tight muscles. Then a slow, deeply warming massage is performed with the heated stones. This massage, in combination with the energy balancing and placement of the hot stones, stimulates the circulatory system ridding the body of tension and stress. Heat creates deeper relaxation of the muscles, stimulates the nervous system and assists with injury. Close your eyes, relax and enjoy warm stones that are gently placed and massaged on your body and let the stress melt away!

Lymphatic Drainage

  • 60 minutes

Lymphatic massage (also known as manual lymphatic drainage) aids in the flow of lymph, a fluid in the body responsible for boosting the immune system and promoting general health. Lymphatic massage can perform a number of services on your body, such as reduction in swelling, boosting your immune system and producing white blood cells.

Myofascial Release

  • 60 minutes

Myo means muscle and fascia is the elastic connective tissue wrapped around muscles and other parts of the body. During myofascial release restrictions (stuck areas) are located and gentle sliding pressure is applied in the direction of the restriction to stretch the tissues. The stretching of tissues and the heat imparted by the practitioner's hands help produce a softer consistency of fascial tissues.

Choose from HAND or FOOT reflexology -- All the organs in the body are reflected in our hands and feet. Working on specific areas on the hands or feet stimulates the corresponding organ within the body. Reflexologists work from maps of predefined pressure points that are located on the hands and feet. These pressure points connect directly through the nervous system and affect the bodily organs and glands. The reflexologist manipulates the pressure points according to specific techniques of reflexology therapy. By means of this touching therapy, any part of the body that is the source of pain, illness, or potential debility can be strengthened through the application of pressure at the respective foot or hand location. Reflexology applied properly can alleviate allergy symptoms, as well as stress, back pain, and chronic fatigue.

Reiki / Energy Healing

  • 30 Minutes / 60 minutes

Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to heal and harmonize the body. Unlike other healing therapies based on the premise of a human energy field, Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced. Reiki energy has several basic effects: it brings about deep relaxation, destroys energy blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new vitality in the form of healing universal life energy, and increases the vibrational frequency of the body.

Table Shiatsu

  • 60 Minutes

Table Shiatsu is an adaptation of traditional Japanese Shiatsu. Shiatsu balances the flow of chi ( life energy ) and blood by pressing on the Acupressure points in a steady deeply relaxing rhythm attuned to your breath. This classic form is combined with techniques from: Acupressure, Polarity Therapy, and Trigger Point Therapy.

Thai Massage

  • 60 Minutes

Thai Massage is a treatment that is done fully clothed on a large mat on the floor. It involves stretching, palming, and pressure point techniques over the entire body. The client lays on the floor while the therapist uses his or her hands, forearms, legs, and feet (which are used extensively) to move you into a series of deep stretches, often very meditative and rhythmic. All stretching is done within your comfortable limits - clients do not have to be "flexible" to receive this treatment. Gentle realignment and myofascial release (releasing stuck connective tissue) is achieved releasing tension in muscles and ligaments. Thai massage relaxes and elongates the muscles leaving the client feeling rejuvenated, realigned and stretched out.

Trigger Point Therapy

  • 60 Minutes

Trigger points can be caused by muscles that become dysfunctional and stay in a constant contraction without a signal from the nervous system, resulting in muscle weakness and pain referral. Over 73% of the time, pain referral is not located where it originates. Through trigger point analysis and palpation, the pain source is located and treated by static compression. Trigger points aren’t exclusively located in muscles: they are also found in skin and ligaments. Below are few common examples of problems addressed by deep tissue massage and who would benefit. PROBLEMS ADDRESSED: Cervical pain, Back Pain; sciatica, Fibromyalgia, Scoliosis and kyphosis, Neurological interference, Restriction of motion, Chronic pain, Headaches, Postural distortions.
