The Wayne Board of Education emailed families with updates to the COVID response which will go into effect on Tuesday, January 18th, and apply to all students enrolled in the Wayne Township Public Schools. This summary of changes does not cover all situations. School employees are required to evaluate and act on each situation based on facts available at the time.

All currently enrolled preschoolers DO NOT need to complete a Kindergarten New Student Registration for their child for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. HOWEVER, in order to prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, please complete the form emailed to you today regarding your child’s kindergarten enrollment BEFORE TUESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2022.
NOTE: Completion of this form will be used as your "REGISTRATION" for Kindergarten or your intent to disenroll from the Wayne Township Public Schools at the end of the preschool year.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
Our arrival and dismissal seems to be going very well, a big thank you to our parents and caregivers for ensuring the safety of our young students. As a reminder, our procedures are outlined below.
Parents transporting their child to and from school will use either the driveway in front of the school via Hamburg Turnpike or the Church Street entrance and park in the side parking lot near the playground and walk to the front of the school for drop off/pick up.
• Follow the arrival and dismissal traffic patterns at the front of the center. You may park your car and hand your child off to a staff member in the front of the building. For safety reasons, children should exit from the passenger side of the car only and caregivers will hand their child to the staff on duty. Dismissal follows the same pattern as arrival.
As a reminder, parents should NOT use the back driveway as that is strictly utilized for our school buses.
Bus Students will be assisted by the teachers and paraprofessionals.
If the adult picking up your child is not known to our staff, he or she must show photo identification (driver’s license, etc.) to prove his or her identity before your child may be dismissed into his or her care.
AM Arrival is at 8:20am (doors open at 8:15am)
AM Dismissal is at 10:55pm (doors open at 10:55am)
PM Arrival is at 12:10 pm (doors open at 12:05 pm)
PM Dismissal is at 2:45 pm (doors open at 2:45 pm)

The PECC Lunch Ordering has moved to Boonli. All families must create an account and identify their child's teacher. The system will close weekly on Sundays at 6:00 pm for the upcoming week. The Menu is also posted on the Boonli site for the PECC.

Wayne Public Schools together with Sodexo has partnered with BOONLI to provide a secure, fast, and easy-to-use online ordering system that allows Preakness Early Childhood Center Families to view our lunch menu, order, and manage student lunches from their smartphone, tablet or computer.

FOOD PANTRY & NEXTREX PLASTIC
Pantry items will be collected throughout the school year and dropped off every two weeks. We have collected 500+ pounds of plastic and have met our 500lb goal!
We will begin collecting again on February 1 towards our next NexTrex bench. Please continue to send these items to school with your students to give back to the community. To volunteer to drop off plastics or food pantry items, please email email@example.com. We’d love your help and support!
