District Goals
- Goal 1: All students will exhibit Satisfactory or above performance on State assessments. Students below Satisfactory performance will demonstrate more than one year of academic growth;
- Goal 2: Dallas ISD schools will be the primary choice for families in the district;
- Goal 3: The achievement gap by race, ethnicity and social economic status will be no greater than 10 percentage points on all academic measures;
- Goal 4: 95% of students will graduate. Of the graduates, 90% have qualifying scores for community college, college, military, or industry certification;
- Goal 5: 95% of entering kindergarten students are school-ready on a multidimensional assessment;
- Goal 6: All students will participate in at least one extracurricular or co-curricular activity each year.

Eagle Focus: Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment (CIA)
As we begin week #7, we have collaborated and discussed our data performance from our 1st six weeks common assessment. This week we will examine our instructional maps and strategically plan for the TEKS that will need to be spiraled back into our instructional delivery for the 2nd six weeks. We will follow our teacher action steps from our Campus Action Plan to complete our backwards planning sessions. We will conduct our half day plannings this week and the schedule is as follows:

Campus Action Plan: Key Action 2:
Increase student academic achievement through high quality instruction.
Teacher Action: Staff will utilize the TEKS Resource System to develop and implement the curriculum maps and deliver common assessments in order to adjust instructional practices targeting individual student needs every six weeks. Grade level backwards planning sessions will be needed in order to plan for upcoming 6 weeks curriculum.
In addition, GC has worked with their teams to complete the DDI and submit the PPT template to Ms. Miramontes by October 3, 2016. We will share out our findings and prepare for our next cycle of instruction.

BOY Teacher Conferences: Finishing on Monday, Oct. 3rd
I am completing BOY conferences with teachers this week. Each teacher will receive their printed TEI scorecard and please be prepared to discuss your responses to the following questions:
1. What are your academic goals and how will you meet them? (reflect on achievement data 2015-2016)
2. How does this translate into your SLO for this school year?
3. How will you monitor your SLO?
4. Based on spot observations scores last year (if applicable), what do you feel that you need to improve upon to increase the quality of your instruction?
5. How does this fit into your PDP for this school year?
6. What would you like to see in staff development this year in order for you to be successful?
7. What 3 things happened last year in your classroom that you are most excited about?
8. What 3 things happened last year in your classroom that you are most disappointed about?

Goal-Setting Deadlines
All SLOs should be completed and scored in Schoolnet by October 3rd. The SLO Goal-Setting Components should be submitted and scored by evaluators no later than October 3,2016.

PFP Pinkston Priority Plan
Our feeder pattern goals have been included to show our alignment with our action goals.
Priority/Goal:
- Ensure a Balanced Literacy Model that is implemented with fidelity throughout the feeder schools.
- To improve the socio-emotional health of students and families, each campus will create a vertical campus and community committee to identify resources, best practices and to develop a longitudinal implementation plan.
Throughout the 2016-2017 school year, Pinkston Feeder Pattern Schools will implement systems to improve school morale by a minimum of 5%, as indicated by Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 surveys.
