Addams Early Childhood Center is hiring! Please join us for a hiring fair Wednesday, June 15th, from 2-6pm for onsite applications and interviews. This is a great opportunity to work while your children are in school. You can find more information here!
Walk for Miracles
Beaumont Children's is partnering with Royal Oak Schools, K-12, for this year's Walk For Miracles event.
Royal Oak High School Student Council, Interact Club, National Honor Society, Band, Dance Team, and Drama Department students will be leading student fundraising teams as well as performing/volunteering at Walk for Miracles.
This is a wonderful way for local students and families to give back to their community, and children in a health crisis in Southeast Michigan.
Please see attached press release below from Beaumont for more.
Arrival and Dismissal
Please remember the importance of being on time for school each day. When a student enters the classroom late, the student may feel like he/she has missed information and can also feel overwhelmed seeing other students already involved in activities. Late arrival also disrupts the flow of the lesson and the students who are working.
It is also important to pick your child up from school on time. If you are going to be late and you can't make arrangements to have someone else pick up your child, please contact the main office and let us know. We will begin to go through your contact list provided in MiStar.
ROYAL OAK SUMMER CAMPS
Registration for Royal Oak Schools Summer Camps and Activities opens on April 1. You can register your child for basketball camp, fundamentals, tennis, soccer, softball, baseball, T-ball, cheerleading, volleyball, and future Ravens football camp. You must send your registration form to Royal Oak High School, 1500 Lexington Blvd., Royal Oak 48073, Attention Athletic Department, or email the registration form to pam.moore@royaloakschools.org to be registered.
Online payment does not act as registration for a camp. The registration form must be completed and sent in or emailed. Please include the t-shirt size for your child on the registration form. Registration begins on Friday, April 1.
Parking Lot Safety
Please be aware that when entering the south parking lot that it is TURN RIGHT ONLY as the traffic flow is all ONE WAY. Make sure to obey traffic signs and follow the traffic flow. It is important to share this information for anyone who might be driving your child to and from school. Please see map below for a visual. Thank you.

PTA Corner
Hello, Keller families,
I can't believe there's only a week left of school! I am so happy we have been able to host a few PTA events these last few months of the school year. I can only hope next year will open us up for a little more fun!
This is a super short newsletter, and I will follow up next week with my last Keller Connection of the year.
The Fun Fair is TODAY, June 10 from 5pm-7pm and is our big end-of-the-year party on the Keller grounds. We will have food, games, prizes, classroom raffle baskets, inflatable bounce houses, the ever-favorite Dunk-a-fifth-grader dunk tank, and more! Admission is for kids only, $8 per lanyard, with a family cap at $24. Adults are free. Raffle tickets are available to use for food items and to bid in raffle baskets. We hope to see you there!
Have you volunteered for a PTA event using one of our Sign-up Geniuses? Please email president@helenkellerpta.net with the event you volunteered at and your t-shirt size so I can get you your free Keller PTA volunteer shirt! Thank you for helping make our events successful.
IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES:
June 10 Fun Fair 5pm-7pm on Keller grounds.
June 13 PTA Meeting, off-site, 7pm. Location: Brown Iron Brewhouse. This is the last meeting of the school year, and babysitting services will NOT be provided. Adults only, please.
We have a few Committee Chair positions open for the 2022-2023 school year. The only requirement is being a PTA member. Many of the positions listed can be done right from your home. Whether you have little time or a lot of time, there's some way you can help the PTA. Thanks for your consideration! Here's a list of what's open:
Cultural Arts & Assemblies: needs a chair. You would work with the principal to plan 2-3 assemblies for the school year, either virtual or in-person, or both.
Performing Arts: co-chair is needed (please join current co-chairs Libby Hampson and Mary Beth Saltsman) The chairpersons plan for and direct an annual talent show, and distribute information in a timely manner.
I hope to see you at the Fun Fair! Enjoy your weekend.
All My Best,
Carie Hooker, President
