CHS Cross Country
Cullman Cross Country at The Southern Showcase
Friday and Saturday, September 17-18
This was a unique 2-day "showcase" event hosting 120 teams from all over (AL, GA, FL, TN, LA, OH, etc.) at the John Hunt Running Park in Huntsville. The varsity boys (Troy Adkison, Nicholas Wood, William Nichols, Andrue Barnett, Adam Mangum, Harold Sheffield, Charlie Worley) did a great job earning a spot in the Championship division (top 30).
Our Jr. High girls had a HUGE WIN in the Junior High (7-9th grade) division. Our Top 7 were Bella Caretti, Addison Vogelaar, Ella Cupp, Grace Thompson, Mabry Free, Clare Martin, Audrey Floyd.
Brayden White raced to an outstanding 5th overall finish in the Freshmen boys division.
Our middle school boys (7/8th grade only) had a great 3rd place finish. Our top 7 were Jacob Taylor, Emory Bonds, Reed Flores, Connor Lancaster, Benjamin Stidham, Owen Graves, Cadan Fales.
Our JV boys ran their best race of the season. The top 7 were Luke Johnson, Ethan Nix, Graham Waldrop, Lane Hopper, Rees Sheffield, David Manashirov, Logan Howell.
We also had several personal bests in the "open" 5k divisions (Jorryn Barnette, Giselle Gibbs, Jonathan Medina, Charlie Hinkle, Asa Hayes, John Paul Krassick).
We had so much good accomplished over the 2-days. These athletes represented Cullman very well. The packs were strong and they were racing hard for each other!! The love was evident.
Next Week: 2nd Annual Cullman v. Hartselle "Dual in the Park"
We won both races last year. We would love to do that again. Come out and support if possible.
Thursday, September 23rd / Sparkman Park
