Happy Thanksgiving!
What a busy Fall we are having at Loch Lomond! This weekend we wrapped up our Girls on the Run season with a 5k run at the Dulles Towne Center. Our girls, teachers, and families showed up despite the cold and everyone completed the 3.1 miles. What a huge accomplishment and we are so proud of each one of them! A huge thanks to our coaches, Ms. Daly, Ms. Rittenhouse, Ms. Bailey, and Ms. Lazabal!
Our students also participated in the Robotics tournament this weekend at Osbourne Park High School. Students created an innovative project on alternate energy sources and ways to cut down our electric bills while using renewable resources. We are so proud of their efforts! Thank you to Ms. Bell for her hard work with the team!
We wish you all wonderful Thanksgiving holiday as you enjoy the time with your families. We are thankful to all of you for your beautiful children and the work we get to do with them every day. Thank you for all your support of our Loch Lomond Scotties!
PTO Updates!
The PTO meets monthly on the third Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm. We need your input and support to continue creating wonderful events for our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

Rosemount Lewis Elementary School-Boundary Study
Prince William County Public Schools is planning the attendance area for “Rosemount Lewis” Elementary School, opening for the 2023-24 school year, through virtual community meetings. The first virtual meeting will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22. Residents in the following elementary school attendance areas could be impacted and are encouraged to attend: Ellis, Loch Lomond, Mullen, Sinclair, Sudley, West Gate, and Yorkshire Elementary Schools.
During the virtual meeting, boundary plans developed by the Boundary Planning Committee will be shared with the public. The meeting will include more specific information about the plans, along with their implications for relieving overcrowding at the various elementary schools in the Sudley area of Prince William County. The Boundary Planning Committee will also receive public input on their proposed boundary plans.

Nurse Margaret's Corner
As we are entering the flu season, we are having difficulty reaching parents and guardians to pick up their student when they are called. If you receive a call from the Loch Lomond office staff or the Nurse, please pick up your student within the hour. If it is a medical emergency, high fever, vomiting, respiratory distress, or cardiac issue, and we cannot reach you we will call EMS 911(at your own expense) to come for your child. All parents or guardians need to have a backup plan for someone to be able to pick up their student if you cannot pick them up.
If your child is sick, has thrown up the night before or in the morning, or is feverish, please keep them at home.
- Do not medicate with any anti-fever medicine or Benadryl and send your student to school.
- Do not send your student to school with any type of medication in their backpack
- Update your contact information (phone numbers, emails) when they change to office staff and teachers.
- If your student is coughing, sneezing, or has a runny nose please have them wear a mask to school. If they have a fever, keep them home.
- Make sure your child is immunized with the age appropriate immunizations.
- Ask your healthcare provider about a FLU shot for your child.
- The safety and wellbeing of your child is of the utmost importance to me, and I take any illness of theirs very seriously. Please contact me with any questions (raumm@pwcs.edu)
