Dear Parents / Carers,
This week has been colourful, particularly today as we celebrate the King's coronation. The school was filled with red, white and blue and the children very much enjoyed their royal tea party lunch as well as learning songs, making flags and wearing crowns. It has been a joyous day despite the rain!
Yesterday, Year 3 Milligan visited the woods for a forest school day. They had a great time and came back with a range of tools, bows and arrows and other things that they had made and whittled. They had a great time in the outdoors and developed their resilience, teamwork and craft skills whilst there. I'm sure they slept well afterwards, well done Year 3!
The rest of this half term and a couple of weeks into next half term are assessment weeks for most classes. Please ensure that your children arrive at school on time between 8:35 and 8:45 so that they can get started on time.
Finally, please ensure that your child has a coat in school even though the weather is getting warmer. We still go out to play in the rain.
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend,
Karen Williams

Message from Head Pupils
This week has been a colourful week with lots to do and celebrate. To celebrate the king’s coronation everybody came in red, white or blue, or came dressed up as a king or a queen. As well as this, in our celebration worship, we sang songs and took some time to make multi coloured flags to celebrate this great occasion. We hope you enjoy your weekend and celebrate in style.
Head Pupil certificates went to Bea O and Joseph M.
Niamh and Lillie

If anyone would like to say thank you to or has any positive comments for a member of staff then please complete and submit the form below.
We are attending Sherburn Gala on 20th May and need some help please - we are planning to run a teddy tombola and sell some cakes. Please can you email us if you are able to do some baking for Friday 19th May, or if you have any teddies which are in good condition but sitting unloved in your house.
Unfortunately after sharing the date last week, we need to change the date of the Summer Fair due to it clashing with the Air Show taking place over the weekend of 15th/16th July. We are re-confirming a date, and will share this next week once agreed.
And don't forget - school discos are on Thursday 25th May - more information to follow.
