"Operation Pollination" Presentation by Longwood Gardens & CBJ Greenhouse Tour

Wednesday, March 23rd, 10:30am-12pm

3025 Riverside Drive

Juneau, AK

Our journey will start out at the Valley Library for a presentation by Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. Students will get to discover the connection of living systems and investigate why and how flowering plants have developed with their pollinator partners. Interact with an Educator and explore this amazing process through video, images, and live plants during this lesson. Through the book On Meadowview Street by Henry Cole we will look at how one person can make a difference.

Then, we will continue our journey right across the street at the CBJ Greenhouse where kids will get to tour and come up close and personal with what they just learned.

The scanning tool will give an estimate of your child's refractive error, eye alignment, and pupil size.

If you plan to come and take advantage of this wonderful free service, please let us know so that we can have an idea of how many people to expect. If we don't receive any RSVP's, we will let them know not to come. Thank you for your understanding.
