July 30, 2021 Special Committee of the Whole Meeting

The Board of Education provides a "Board Meeting Summary" after each Board meeting. The summary includes a brief description of the main topics and action items. These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting. We hope these summaries provide some basic information and context around the reports, presentations and action items. In Attendance

President Robert Bruno, Vice President Jason Loebach, Secretary Jess Buttimer, Ted Estes, Julie Hill, Chris Martelli, Tayyaba Syed.


Summary

Over 70 community members came together to discuss the pros and cons of four masking options. Table groups reported out to the Board of Education. Community members were also provided the opportunity for Public Comment after the table discussions.

No action was taken by the Board at this meeting.

UPCOMING MEETING-Monday, August 2, 2021 | Special Board Meeting, 6:30 p.m.

The Board of Education of Glen Ellyn School District 41 will meet for a special meeting on August 2, 2021, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at Hadley Jr. High School, 240 Hawthorne Blvd., Glen Ellyn.


Please Note: Now that DuPage County has moved to substantial status based on COVID-19 data in the county, all attendees will be required to wear a mask indoors at the meeting. We cannot guarantee 3 feet of social distancing at this meeting based on number of attendees and space in the room.
