"The world needs you! It needs your heart, ideas, and, most importantly, your unique perspective."- Jetaun Davis
This week we celebrate Administrative Professionals' Week (The actual day is Wednesday, April 27)! I cannot put into words how integral the Administrative Professionals in our building are to the success of each and everyday. I think that we can all agree that our school would not function without all of Kara and Shelly's hard work and dedication. Of course we cannot forget about all that Therese does for us as well- and with a smile to boot :) So, this week I encourage you to shower these ladies with words of praise and thanks for all that they do to make our world run smoothly!
A peek at our week...
- This week will be a busy one for all! Tomorrow, Monday, I will be out of the building all day with 6th grade at Camp NuHop. I ask that you pray for a safe and fun day of outdoor education for our students.
- Tuesday, our 7th graders will visit Hoban for their 7th grade visitation day. Also, our 3, 4, and 5th graders will attend the Great Lakes Science Center. I will be in the building until 10:30 AM and then will leave for a Principal's meeting.
- Thursday, I will attend the Akron Zoo field trip with our 2nd graders. Please do not hesitate to call me any of the days I am out of the building!! Please see the Thursday newsletter for reminders on what students should wear to each field trip.
- Our May faculty meeting has been moved to Thursday, May 12 instead of May 3. At this meeting we will meet with the Epiphany staff and get a glimpse into how implementing technology will transform our lessons, our classrooms, and the educational objectives for each of our students. Teachers in grades Pre-K-4 will only need to attend from 3:30-4. Teachers in grades 5-8 will attend the full meeting until 4:30 as they discuss more in depth how Lealynd will collaborate with them for the 2016-2017 school year.
- Please remember to update your Mandated Services forms as the 4th quarter continues!
- We have just 5 short weeks left of school! Please ensure that you are updating grades on a weekly basis so that our students and their parents are not surprised by any missing assignments or assignments that might negatively impact their grades.
