K-8 New iPad Distribution
The Duneland School Corporation (DSC) has finalized plans for students in grades K-7 regarding new device distribution. Students in grades K-7 will be allowed to keep their current DSC device over the 2021 summer. When students return to school for the 2021-22 school year, during the opening weeks of the 2021-22 school year students in grades K-7 will be required to return their current iPad, keyboard case, power block, and power cord. At this time students will then receive their new iPad, keyboard case, power block, and power cord.
It is important that students take a few moments to save anything that they would like to preserve from their current iPads. For more information on saving items from the iPad to iCloud please see the following guide:Moving iPad Files to iCloud Drive - https://bit.ly/3v6kXMY
Students that need Technical support over the summer can create an IT support ticket here: https://duneland.freshservice.com/support/tickets/new (Students/parents must use the student “myduneland.org" email address to open an IT Ticket)
Students/parents may also call 219-983-3759 and speak to a technician

Duneland Schools to Launch Trojan Virtual Academy this Fall
Duneland School Corporation is excited to announce a new chapter in our history of excellence by expanding our curricular choice offerings to include a virtual K-12 program. Starting in the fall of 2021, we will be launching the Trojan Virtual Academy (TVA).
We recognize that most students find academic and social success best through in-person learning. Our commitment to these practices and programs remains unchanged. However, as we navigated 2020, we became increasingly aware of a growing number of students that thrive through alternative learning environments and specifically through online learning.
The TVA thus serves as a school choice option for families to maintain connection with Duneland Schools while selecting a learning option that they feel works best for their student(s).
Parent Information Nights will be hosted over the next two weeks. For more information, please visit our Trojan Virtual Academy site for more information.
