Meet our 2022 Summer Interns!

Hello! my name is Emily and this is my fourth year as an intern at the Sioux County Extension Office. I just recently finished my first year of college and I am so excited to be working at the extension office again for a part of the summer!

Hi! My name is Abby Brett and I just moved here from Montana to work as an intern for Sioux County Extension. I grew up in Western Montana and received a bachelors degree in rangeland ecology from Montana State University. I'm very excited to be in Harrison helping at the extension office and learning more about 4-H and other outreach programs. In my spare time, I help on a ranch north of town so I'm getting the best of both worlds! Feel free to stop by the office and introduce yourself!

Have you ever wondered, what plant is that!?! We are excited to offer the opportunity to learn these and other important horticulture skills through the Online Horticulture Contest. The contest will be available June 3-20, 2022 at: https://go.unl.edu/online4hhortcontest
Horticulture judging contest consists of three parts. The first is identification of plant material. The second is a knowledge portion, usually in the form of a true/false or multiple choice quiz. The last portion is judging or placings.
