No Pokémon cards at school~

Parents and Guardians~ We would like to remind you that Pokemon cards are not allowed in school. Please note that Pokemon cards may not be traded at school and are not allowed in the classroom, on the playground or the bus. If any child is found to be in possession of Pokemon cards, the cards will be confiscated and returned to a parent at an arranged meeting with the principal. They are causing disruption from learning and a lot of tears over unfair trades and/or damaged cards. Thank you for your understanding.

Parking Lot Safety~

Parents and Grandparents~ Getting on and off of the school bus shouldn't be risky, but the area 10 feet around the bus is actually the most dangerous for children! The bus drivers cannot see you if you are closer than 10 feet!

When you are picking up in the afternoons, please teach your children they should ALWAYS stay ten feet away from the school bus. Please do not walk in the small parking lot ~ walk around by the grass to pick up.

Reminder~ there is no car drop off and pick up in the small parking lot by the Kinder playground.

Remember to stop for school buses and stay alert for kids crossing the street. #SchoolBusSafety

Sleep -

For school-age children ages 6-12 years, the National Sleep Foundation recommends 9 - 11 hours of sleep per night. Implicit in that recommendation is the recognition that sleep empowers effective thinking and school performance.

Please make sure your Jr. Raiders are getting enough sleep.

Please be here by 7:45AM if you plan to have breakfast in the cafeteria~

Healthy Snack Donation Request

We are requesting healthy snacks to keep up our students' energy throughout our school day!

Childhood is a critical time for growth and development, and healthy snacks provide important nutrients that learners need to stay focused.

Having healthy snacks such as granola bars, fruit snacks, clementines, goldfish, crackers, and animal crackers, takis, string cheese, jerky etc. available to students will promote healthy nutritional habits.

These snacks may also make the difference in a focused child vs. one who is hungry and who is unable to concentrate and work. School is a place kids spend most of their time.

Help us provide them with snacks that will help power their brains and bodies for a great day of learning by sending in a snack donation with your child for their classroom!
