The Curious Savage
On December 9th and 10th MHS, PV students, and the MPV community were treated to a full-length production of John Patrick's sentimental comedy, "The Curious Savage". The play featured Yellow Jacket Theatre students with a majority of seniors taking principle roles. Rebecca Standifer and Landon Carrier plan to attend University for Theatre when they graduate. Standifer played, Mrs. Savage a quirky widow with a penchant for spending the family fortune. She is committed to "The Cloisters" a quaint mental institution and makes friends at the annoyance of her "Savage" family who wants to find the family's 10 million dollars in secured war bonds. Carrier played a quirky mathematician violinist. He always filled the room with laughter. After a series of comedic and touching events, Savage sends the family on a hunt for the money when the bonds were located in her teddy bear the whole time. Timmy Jordan who played, Dr. Emmett said, "My favorite part about being Dr. Emmett was having a personal relationship with each character. It was awesome to be on stage for the first time instead of being part of the tech crew." In all, Savage makes friends with the inmates. She realizes that each one sees themselves in a different way than what she originally thought and she realizes that friendship outweighs money and blood ties. The play featured some physical comedy, difficult lines, and some quick costume changes. The students enjoyed the deeper meaning of the play. The play was able to raise over $1000 for theatre funds. Theatre would like to thank everyone that helped with the play. Especially, Mr. Moody and Mr. Jones for helping with the set design and logistics. Thank you to the MPV Education Foundation for providing a theatre teacher grant. Their next play will be a children's play, "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carrol. "Alice in Wonderland" will be performed on April 21st and 22nd. The Yellow Jacket Theatre Troupe is now official. The new thespians have been sworn into the Educational Theatre Association. Troupe officers are President, Jade Moran, Vice President, Auburn Fields, Secretary, Rebecca Standifer, and Treasurer, Aubrey Burkholder.

Teacher Feature With Landon (Mrs. Hargraves Edition)
By Landon Carrier
Mrs. Hargraves tries to make the libraries at MHS and Marvin a fun place to be. She wants kids and faculty to feel safe and be able to collect themselves. “As far as literacy goes, it’s a struggle, especially at high school level.” So it makes it all worth the struggle when she gets those reluctant readers to admit they liked the book they read. Her goal for literacy is simple, she just wants kids reading. It does not matter what they are reading as long as they are enjoying and learning that’s all that matters. Surprisingly however, Mrs. Hargraves did not always want to be a librarian. Growing up she loved animals (she still does) and wanted to be a veterinarian, but as she became older she realized what an emotional wreck she would be when one of her patients died. So she decided to follow her history loving side and major in history and got her degree to be a librarian. Fortunately she is still allowed to help animals because she does wildlife rehabilitation on the side. Her favorite animal she loves saving and seeing are opossums. Lastly, a piece of advice she would give anyone is “Don’t get so busy making a living and forget to make a life.” (Dolly Parton) Thanks Mrs. Hargraves!

Movie Reviews With Eli (Aria Of A Starless Night)
By Eli Haines
In my opinion it’s better than the original, because it has more of a plot, and explains a little more from Asuna’s backstory. The only thing I don't like is that it is basically just episode 1 of the original but in Asuna's point of view.
Blue Heelers With Macie
By Macie Shearburn
Blue Heelers are an amazing pet for families. They are good for snuggles, but they are also good herding dogs. They can live up to 13 to 15 years. Sometimes they will choose one family member as their person, creating a bond; and will end up following that person everywhere. Blue Heelers are extremely alert, intelligent, energetic, loyal, obedient, and adventurous. Another breed of extremely alert and intelligent canines, is the “Australian Cattle Dog” a loyal dog to their owners and wary of strangers. The breed is very energetic and not suited for apartment lifestyles. Australian cattle Dogs thrive when they have jobs to do such as work related to that on a ranch or farm. Are Australian Cattle Dogs good guard dogs? ACDs {Australian Cattle Dogs} make exceptional guard dogs and watchdogs. They will naturally patrol their property and alert their pack when danger approaches, and become aggressive if they perceive a threat. Weight: Male: 33–35 lbs (15–16 kg), Female: 31–9 lbs (14–18kg) Height: Male: 15–20 inches (46–55 cm), Female: 15–19 inches (40–49 cm) If a blue heeler is not properly socialized, it can show some aggression towards suspicious strangers, but that is rare. Otherwise, blue heelers are faithful friends and great family dogs.Beauty Tips With Emily
Have you ever wanted to accentuate the eyes that everyone meets? (that would be yours) Then maybe falsies are the go to for you! There are many kinds of false eye lashes that have different effects on the eyes. For example, the starlet gives the eyes a doe like look. On the other side of the spectrum you have the Rockette lash which works as a show stopper. Most falsies apply in the same way with a thin layer of lash glue and tweezers to align the lash right above your real lashes. However, recently you can apply your falsies magnetically! Depending on your eye shape you may need to trim the falsies down. Below are examples of lash extensions that may feel
