A Message from Mrs. Adams
SHOUT-OUT!
At Findley, we begin each teacher meeting and all-school gatherings with shout-outs, public expressions of appreciation for someone who has made a positive difference at Findley. Read the following and imagine our students in the gym responding with, "SHOUT-OUT!"
- SHOUT-OUT! to John Deere Financial for school supplies, classroom materials. ST Math, student incentives, and volunteers.
- SHOUT-OUT! to Golden K Kiwanis for library books, student computer bags, Y-Camp experiences, and reading volunteers.
- SHOUT-OUT! to the Grubb-Y for after-school programming right here at Findley.
- SHOUT-OUT! to By Degrees for post-high school savings accounts, campus visits, community services, and Mr. Kirby.
This year brings additional worries to our Findley families and staff. Our community partners offer hope as they respond flexibly, graciously, and generously. You might want to send them your own shout-out.
With gratitude,
Barb Adams

To start the year, the counselor is having students in grades 2nd-5th take a survey to help them work on developing a self-care plan. Grades Kindergarten – 1st will be working on a survey about how they want to be recognized for positive behavior. Findley staff want to help recognize students in a way that has meaning to each student.

Safety First
With the rise of COVID-19 cases in Polk County, I want to go thru what measures to take for you and your family to stay healthy.
Safety Measure #1: Handwashing is important to prevent the spread of COVID-19. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer. Remember to wash your hands after using the restroom, before eating, after touching your face, coughing, or sneezing into your hands, putting on and taking off your mask, and when your hands are visibly dirty.
Safety Measure #2: Wear a facemask when in public. By wearing a mask in public, you can prevent transmitting the disease to others if you were to have COVID-19 and did not show any symptoms.
Safety Measure #3: If you are sick stay home. If you are not feeling well and you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 stay home and call your doctor. Please do not go into work or a public space. Be aware that people that are positive for COVID-19 may not have any symptoms, mild symptoms, or severe illness.
