Wednesday Message, 4/24
Mr. Chisholm, Principal
GoGood evening, Stonehurst families!
Today we wrapped out our 1st day of PSSA testing. I am so proud of how hard all our students worked during the ELA testing session. We had roughly 92% attendance for the ELA test today. Our goal is to have 100% attendance for tomorrow's test. Please make sure your child is well rested, has their Chromebook charged and comes to school on time tomorrow for the PSSAs. We want to make sure all of our students have an opportunity to show what they have learned throughout the year. We can have a successful PSSA experience if we work together to support our students. Have a wonderful evening, Stonehurst!
Sincerely,
Desmond

Attendance
Student Attendance - Absent Notes
Absence notes are required when your child is absent within 2 days of your child's return. Unexcused absences become truancies. Please send absent notes by email to shes-attendance@upperdarbysd.org or you can send a written note to your child's teacher. Thank you!
ATTENDANCE and BEING ON TIME FOR SCHOOL IS IMPORTANT
Too many absences can cause children to fall behind in school.
Missing 10%, or about 2 days each month over the course of a school year, can make it harder to learn to read.
Students can still fall behind if they miss just 1 or 2 days every few weeks.
Being late to school may lead to poor attendance.
Absences & tardiness affect the entire classroom.
Attending school regularly, and being on time each day helps children feel better about school—and themselves.

Eagles Football Academy
The ultimate Philadelphia Eagles Youth Football experience is coming to Upper Darby High School this Summer! The official Philadelphia Eagles Youth Football Academy Clinics provide children ages 5 to 14 years of age with a fun, non-contact football skills development experience. Each clinic provides children with the chance to learn the different positions, get coached by Philadelphia Eagles Youth Football Academy coaches, meet a current or former Eagles player and have some fun with SWOOP.
